Cheryl Guzmán

Heading up the overseas side of our operation, having lived and worked for ten years on the Caribbean Island which encompasses the Dominican Republic, Cheryl is familiar with the benefits of living in such a climate. Fluent in Spanish, in addition to her native English, she played a major role in negotiating an agreement with a large developer on the island, offering guaranteed returns. Her lingual attributes were l also brought into play, negotiating with Spanish developers.

Much travelled she appreciates the variation in quality-of-life in different environments.

Possessing a strong empathy with people, having qualified in coaching, Cheryl concentrates on the needs, wants and preferences of each client on an individual basis, ensuring that they are presented with the opportunities which fit all of their requirements, including schooling, health facilities, flight access and, of course, budget.

Marjorie Hope

With many years’ experience in the property market, spanning a period of twenty years, Marjorie’s attention to minute detail is phenomenal. Having spent several months in Sri Lanka overseeing a brand-new property business over there, she is familiar with the very early morning airport collections our clients; settling them in their expensive short-term accommodation and guiding them around the properties which customers wished to view.

Together with a small team, Marjorie was also the top seller of Sri Lankan properties in the UK during that period in addition to promoting in other parts of the world. Helping to man stands at the Place in the Sun exhibition is she brings a wealth of experience which is at the disposal of our potential clients. With husband John, in 2004 narrowly escaped the tsunami whilst celebrating Christmas in her favourite part of the world.

Rasika Thenuwara

Rasika Thenuwara is a Sri Lankan businessman whose main forte is web design & development. He also had extensive experience in graphic design and advertising before entering the IT business.

After pursuing further education in Information Technology from the Open University, he is now recognized as an IT entrepreneur in Sri Lanka. He is currently working as the Managing Director of Lion tec Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. and Web Solutions Lanka Holdings (Pvt) Ltd.

Rasika has extensive experience in connecting organisations globally and is able to introduce services and business opportunities in Sri Lanka.

John Hope

John’s enthusiasm for travel began when he enlisted in the Royal Air Force at 18, being fortunate enough to spend most of his time abroad including periods in Malta, Gibraltar, North Africa, Borneo, Singapore and Malaya. His comprehensive commercial career took him to the subcontinent in the East and North America in the West in addition to travelling on business throughout Europe.

A self-confessed workaholic he refuses to retire and was well past the age when most others do, when receiving the Queens award for volunteering in 2019.

A sports fanatic, currently using psychometric profiling, he has developed and I will winners, which encompass opportunities in business and investment, in addition to sport.
